Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA LERCH (nee REIMER) It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Anna Lerch on Friday, April 1, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85. Anna was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 2000. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Garth (Carolyn), Gordon, Faye (David), and Ferol (Grant); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary, Susan and Margaret; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mom was born and raised on the farm in Horndean, the daughter of Henry and Suzanna Reimer. She was united in marriage with Dad on July 20, 1941. While accompanying him during his career with the R.C.A.F. , she maintained the household and established her own career in private child care. Many of the children she cared for affectionately knew her as Auntie Lerch. Mom retired from child care in 1990 at the age of 71. Mom loved to travel and her hobby was shopping with Minneapolis being a favourite destination. Mom will be forever remembered for her devotion to her family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with viewing taking place one half hour before. Interment and reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation in Mom's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Fund, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6 or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the respective staffs of Thorvaldson Care Centre, St. Boniface Hospital SICU and Palliative Care Unit. The Lord took your hand and led you home where there is no sorrow or pain and you can be with your loved one again.
