Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFERDINAND HEINRICH (HENRY) FIDLER Suddenly, after a lengthy illness on April 1, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre, Henry Fidler passed away at the age of 86 years. Henry is survived by Emily, his wife of 63 years. His children, Mel (Lorna), Marlene (Fred) and Larry; his grandchildren, Deborah, Bryan (Rhonda), Jill (Doug), Alan, Deanna and Andrew; four great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Lavina and Bertha. Henry was predeceased by his parents and five siblings. Henry was born and raised in Emerson, MB. He served his country in the Second World War and at the end of the war he settled in Winnipeg, where he worked as an electrician and retired from the CNR after 32 years. Henry will be greatly missed and always remembered. The family would like to thank Dr. Hosking and Dr. Mattar and the staff of H3 at the Health Science Centre, and the staff of 4A south at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and care. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Arthritis Society of Manitoba. Visitation 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6 at Bardal Chapel. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. A family committal will take place in Emerson at a later date.
