ROBERT JOSEPH NOLAN June 2, 1937 - April 3, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Nolan. He will be mourned by Shirley, his loving wife of 47 years; and his children, Patrick (Lori), Terry, Todd (Marie), Nancy Jane (Darryl) and Kelly (Petra). He will be missed by his 10 beloved grandchildren, Samaire, Victoria, Laura, Claire, Amy, Jonah, Chloe, Jeremy, Kora and Jenna. Bob was predeceased by his father and mother, Roland and Alice Nolan; and by his younger brothers, Tom, Carl and Paul. Bob loved his family and he loved his Shirl most of all. Their's was a love affair that lasted until the end. Bob enjoyed his many years at the Nolan family cottage at Wanipigow Lake, fishing and swimming and hosting dinners that would stretch into the wee hours. He had a happy life with many wonderful memories of parties, travel, great card games and music at Stangl family get-togethers. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his friends at L'Arche, his partners at the Winnipeg Police Service, the cottagers at the lake and his many relatives and friends whom he loved so much. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 8:30 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 264 Donwood, with the funeral mass to follow on Thursday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's memory to L'Arche Winnipeg, 118 Regent Ave. East, Winnipeg, MB R2C 0C1.
