YVETTE HANSON (nee BOUSQUET) April 8, 1933 - April 4, 2005 After a courageous battle with cancer Yvette peacefully passed away with her family at her side on April 4, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital. Yvette was predeceased by her mother Noella; father Jean; sister Yvonne; brothers, Marc, Rudy, Armand and Maurice. She will be sadly missed by her husband Jack of 56 years; sister and best friend Helen; brother Fred (Edith); and by her children, Bill (Eileen), Kirk (Barb), Kim (Conrad), Marc (Charlene). She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Elaine, Sheri, Kelly, Melanie, Randy, Cory, Clayton, Ryan, Troy, Eric, Luke, Calise, Taleah and Jager Jack; and her great-grandchildren, Dominique, Christina, and Annie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Yvette will also be missed by the many children she fostered over the years, especially Kathy, Gerald and Richard. Yvette was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 23, cooking Thursday night suppers for many years. Yvette was also involved at the Centennial Seniors Centre where she enjoyed lawn bowling and interacting with the other members. Yvette was also a member of the Golden Eagle Rod and Gun Club where she spent many summers with her family and friends. Yvette did not walk quietly through life; she left a deep impression on all who met her. Yvette was well spoken and her humourous and exhilarating personality will be remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at the SBGH Palliative Care Unit. A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Teresa Moysey officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvette's memory may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba.
