SALLY SHURA Sally Shura entered peacefully into rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the McCreary/Alonsa Health Centre at the age of 93 years and four months. Sally was born in the Glenhope district to Michael and Pearl Millan. In 1930 she married John Shura and they farmed in that area until the Fall of 1944 when they moved to McCreary. They continued farming until John's retirement. Sally was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Pearl Millan; her husband John; one infant son Joseph; daughter-in-law Doreen; son-in-law Keith; sister Katie; brothers, Albert, Steve and Nick. She leaves to mourn her children, Art, Walter (Kathy), Liz (Ken) and Marge; sister Anne; sisters-in-law, Julie (Bill), Olga (John); brother-in-law Steve; nine grandchildren, Tanis (Rob), Melanie (Paul), Rob (Darlene), Jean (David), Kim, Todd (Kathy), Terry, Duane, Scott; nine great-grandchildren, Spencer, Griffin, Miranda, Jonathan, Joshua, Brendan, Sophia, Jocelyn, Chelsea. Mom spent her life as a homemaker and was well known for her gardening, sewing and various handiwork. The highlight of her later years was enjoying friends and activities at the Drop-In Centre. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCreary Drop-In Centre or the McCreary/Alonsa Health Centre. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service was held Saturday, April 2 at the Roman Catholic Church in McCreary.
