THELMA C. BREMNER (KITLER) July 2, 1917 - April 2, 2005 Suddenly on Saturday, April 2 at home with her partner in life, George Wilson by her side Thelma passed away. Predeceased by her parents, Dmytro and Victoria Kitler; brothers, Mike, Henry, Robert; and sisters, Mary, Lottie and Nellie. Left with loving memories are sisters, Mabel, Stella (Michael), Lassie (Peter); brothers, Lloyd (Reva), Melvin; and sister-in-law Yolanda. Also left to mourn her passing is her ex-husband Bill Bremner and their two children, Barry (Jan) Bremner, Sharron Walker; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thelma will also be fondly remembered by George's two sons, Brian and Allan Wilson and their families. Mom was born in Rossburn, MB, and later moved to Headingley where she raised her family. She loved gardening, baking and entertaining for her many friends and family. Mom enjoyed many years working for Eaton's and Sears in Winnipeg before retiring when she served as Justice of the Peace and enjoyed her association with RCMP in Headingley. When Mom wasn't busy gardening and baking she would be busy with her sewing or knitting. Mom always worked hard for anyone and everyone until her last breath. May you rest in peace....you deserve a rest! Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Following the service please join the family for a time of fellowship in the reception hall. Pallbearers will be Graham and Stuart Bremner, Matt Walker, Bob and Greg Kitlar and Bob Yanicki. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
