GORDON VICTOR BIEBER 1920 - 2005 Gordon passed away peacefully on April 7, 2005, at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Ward. He will be sorely missed by those who loved and survive him, his wife Ann; sons, Andrew (Diane) and Allister (Pat) Bieber and daughter Adrienne (Bruce) Relkie; stepsons, Jamie (Wanda), John (Donna), Gordon (Cheryl) and Bill (Pierrette) McTavish and sister-in-law Gabi Bieber. Gordon's grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandsons will dearly miss his humour, wisdom, and guidance. His nephew, niece and their families will also cherish Uncle Gord's memory and fun times shared with him. Along with family, he leaves many friends to mourn his passing. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Rudy and Tillie Bieber; his first wife Ethel; brother Andy; sister Edna; brother-in-law Allan; grandson Matthew and nephews, Mark and Grant. For many years Gordon was an active member of the Shriners and Jesters and until recently was able to join and enjoy the company of his Friday Luncheon buddies. Friends and family will ever enjoy the results of Gord's creative ability. He was blessed with an artistic talent for carving - he could turn a block of wood or stone into a thing of beauty. The family wishes to thank most sincerely the caring and capable staff of the Palliative Care Ward of St. Boniface Hospital for the comfort they provided. Cremation has taken place. At Gordon's request, there will be no funeral. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. Should friends so wish, donations could be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, (Palliative Care Fund), 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2H6, or to a charity of one's choice. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It is with much sorrow that I learned of Gordon's death. I shall never forget the many lunches we had with Alan Mc Murdy and Gordon which lasted until Alan's death. In 1954 I started in business with the Kilroy Blouse (later Frankroy and ultimately Joni Originals) factory. I was just new in the business and Gordon passsed on his wisdom in selling which I never forgot. With much sympathy Frank Kovitz Gimli / Victoria - Posted by: Frank Kovitz (Friend) on: Apr 12, 2005
