Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES BERT SOMERS Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Bert Somers, aged 75 passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital. Bert was predeceased by his wife Lillian Grace in 1987; his parents and a brother, Bill. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Val Hamill; children, Ted, Jim (Gayle), Ray (Sandy), Blaine (Ivy), Lynn, Lyman (Carrie), David (Edna) Barb Clark and Barry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Don (Rose), Mabel Ginter, Bernice Fry, Doris Cummer and Allan (Ethel). Bert retired from Bison Transport after 21 years of service. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital for the care given to Bert during his illness. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion #1 at 626 Sargent Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
