JEAN STEINKE (nee NYS) With her daughter Marcella and husband Herb, friends and family by her side, on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, Mrs. Jean Steinke, aged 73 years, of Thalberg, MB, passed onto a higher plain to be with God and family. Jean is survived by her husband Herb; daughter Marcella (Clarence); grandchildren, Mark and Todd (Michelle); great-grandchild Eric; brother George and Sister Hariette and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Helene; brothers, Fred (Vangie), Bert (Evelyn), Tubby (Pearl) and Sandy (Julie); sisters, Mary (Bill) and Marg (Marcel). Jean has touched the hearts of many and was loved by many more. She will surely be missed. Special thanks to Inger and Michelle Robertson, niece Gloria, Dr. Campbell and all the nursing staff. You were all great in making Jean's last days easier. Prayers will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour on Sunday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thalberg, MB, with Pastor Mark Koenker officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark, Todd, Letwin, Lorne, Florance, Marg, Eric and Michelle.
