MARY PICUR (nee WALUK) 1918 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Grandma, Mary Picur on April 5, 2005 at the age of 86 at the Beacon Hill Lodge. Mom was born in Selkirk, MB, on May 23, 1918. She attended Happy Thought School in Selkirk and later moved to Winnipeg where she married her husband William. Mom enjoyed spending time with family and friends and often talked about growing up and helping out with her family farm in East Selkirk. Mom loved to cook and tend to her garden. One of the greatest joys in her life was being a Grandma and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a kind and generous person who made many friends over the years. She was predeceased by her husband William Picur; and her parents Methody (Mike) and Tatyanna Waluk. She is survived by her son James and daughter-in-law Grace; grandchildren, Michael (Grace) Picur and Amanda (Joe) Deighton; and sister Anne Simcoe of Green Brook, New Jersey. Our family wishes to thank the 7th floor staff of the Beacon Hill Lodge for all of their care and compassion to Mom and our family. We love you Mom/Grandma and are grateful for all of the love and care you have given to us. You will be forever loved and missed. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
