JAKE DYCK Suddenly on April 7, 2005 at his residence, Jake passed away. Jake was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in 2002. He is survived by daughter Joyce; sons, Raymond (Teresa), Gerry (Lisa); and his two precious grandsons, Trevor and Mason. He will also be greatly missed by brothers, Peter (Margaret), John (Ruby) and Abe (Marge); sisters, Nettie, Helen, Mary (George), Anne (John); and sister-in-law Betty in Peace River, AB; and many nieces, nephews and a lot of great friends. Dad always enjoyed his monthly meetings at the Alzheimers Support Group and Stroke Recovery Group where he had so many friends and a lot of support. We know he will be sorely missed. After dad's retirement from Coldstream, his great passion was tinkering in his garage on cars or whatever machinery he could find. He was always great at fixing whatever anyone brought him. After his stroke left him unable to work in his garage, he moved to the Courts of St. James where he met another great bunch of friends whom he would see on a regular basis. We know his friends there will miss him a lot. Dad and Grandpa: You have no more struggles and you finally got your 'High Apartment'. We love you and we'll miss you. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with viewing held one half hour prior to the service. A reception will follow at the Army Navy and Air Force, 3584 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
