Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOVIE COHEN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Lovie Cohen on Sunday, March 27, 2005, 16 Adar 2 5765. Lovie is survived by her sons, David and Harold Cohen. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jacob; her parents Joseph and Ruth Kirshrot, and her sister Carole Berney. Lovie was born in Winnipeg on January 20, 1934. She met her future husband Jack at the YMHA in 1954, and married in 1955. They were blessed with the arrivals of their two sons, David and Harold. Lovie was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She maintained a loving home while embracing traditional Jewish values. Some of her favourite interests in addition to her family were knitting and cooking. She was a very kind and loving woman who often put the needs of others before her own. Lovie's name exemplified the type of person she was; a kind, loving, and caring person. The funeral service took place on March 28 at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel and interment followed at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jonny Cline, David Schulman, Sheldon Laveman, Gary Dolovich, Rabbi Amihai Bannett, and Rabbi Daniel Klatzkow. Rabbi Avroham Altein officiated. We would like to thank Rabbi Tzvi Muller, and the Herzlia Synagogue for their kindness and support. A special thank you to Jack and Malka Cohen for their love and support. Donations in Lovie's memory can be made to the Herzlia Synagogue, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear Harold and David. Your Mom was a very special person and a good friend. While working for Noel Book, we became friends, sharing recipes (especially brisket) and stories. I remember your entire family fondly. My sincerest sympathy to you both. Lila - Posted by: Lila Gattinger (Friend) on: Apr 09, 2005
