MARY BARTA March 12, 1911 - April 6, 2005 Mary Barta passed away peacefully on April 6, 2005, at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Alfred Barta. Mary will be forever in the hearts of her surviving four children, Frances (Jim) Harvey, Terry (Jack) Patterson, Trudy (Doug) Kilpatrick and Mike (Sheila) Barta; nine treasured grandchildren, Glenn (Wanda), Randy (Alix), Linda (Mike), Dean (Diane), Donna (Joe), Carrol (Andrew), Keith (Lorellee), Judy (Jim) and Marilyn (Ken); and 23 great-grandchildren. Mary spent most of her life living in St. Vital. She was a devoted wife to Alfred for over 65 years. Her zest for life showed in her many creative talents. She enjoyed knitting and was an accomplished seamstress, and will always be remembered for the many beautifully designed quilts she lovingly stitched. Mary was an avid gardener and produced many a bountiful crop. Family gatherings were cherished, with countless excellent meals prepared. Her grandchildren will fondly remember her teaching them how to make delicious perogies and noodles. Mary was caring and loving and enjoyed the simple things in life. She will be sadly missed and always loved. Through the grace of God, Mary has peacefully joined Alfred in Heaven. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
