ALBERTINE (ABBY) KOPP It is with great sadness the family announces the untimely passing of Albertine (Abby) Kopp on April 5, 2005, at her residence. Albertine Kopp was born on April 13, 1943, in Sitamitz, Poland. In 1953, as a young girl, she came to Canada with her family and resided in Winnipeg. She received her diploma in hairdressing in 1962. This is where Abby met, and later married, Gordon Kopp on September 4, 1965. This union was blessed with five children. They moved to Moosehorn, MB, in 1974 and slowly worked their farm into a dairy operation which they continued until 1993. Abby loved the outdoors and often took walks enjoying nature. She appreciated her animals and was very content on the farm. A highlight in her life was family get-togethers, family outings at the lake, fishing, boating and barbecues. She would do anything for her family. Abby was a great cook and excellent baker. She loved to dance and listen to music. Friends were also important to her and she looked forward to visits with them always offering to lend a hand whenever or wherever needed. She leaves to mourn her children, Gordon (Deb) and grandchild Amber, Albert, Paul (Liz) grandchildren, Zack and Krystal, Phillip, Eric (Monique) grandchildren Kaitlin and expected arrival of Samantha; her brothers, Art (Barb) Schmidt, Fred (Erika) Schmidt; brothers-in-law Alvin (Diane) Kopp, Otto Kopp and Adolf Marschall; sisters-in-law Ellen (Stan) Sydorchuk, Caroline (Albert) Miller and Dorothy Kopp, along with numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. Abby was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 2000; her mother Elizabeth and her father Gottfried and a sister Lily. The family are very grateful for all the support they received from neighbours, friends and family over the years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB, with Pastor Gary Russell officiating. Interment to follow in the New Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Altman, Matthew Schmidt, Johnny Marschall, Owen Kopp, Robert Hoehn and Ted Fuchs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church Fund, P.O.
