Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN ALMA VIVIAN (nee CURTIS) April 8, 1925 - April 7, 2005 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Vivian of Neepawa, MB at the Brandon General Hospital after a brief illness. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years, Lewis; her daughter Lee Vivian; and grandchildren, Chris Klassen (Alana Yaren) and Cassandra Klassen. She is also survived by sisters, Norma Stewart (Maurice) and Joanne Broadfoot (Ian). Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Charlotte and Arthur Curtis; brothers, Jack, Jim and Glen Curtis; and sister Audrey George Doll. Evelyn was born in Neepawa and lived her entire life in that community where she developed a keen interest in its history. She was one of the founding members of the Neepawa Beautiful Plains Museum, serving as President for many years. Over the years she compiled a scrapbook on the life of Margaret Laurence which now resides in the library of McMaster University. She also assisted in the filming of the The First Lady of Manawaka a tribute to Margaret Laurence. She worked for several years at Harris Pharmacy and Dr. Dunn's Chiropractic Office where she made many friends. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church and taught Sunday School there for many years. Memorial service will be held in St. James Anglican Church, Neepawa on Tuesday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Bardsley officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa. Donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to a charity of choice. White's Funeral Home, Neepawa in care of arrangements.
