ANN CATHERINE GANNON (nee TRUDEAU) It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend on April 9, 2005 at Health Sciences Centre surrounded by family and loved ones. Ann Catherine was predeceased by her father Fredrick Trudeau; and is lovingly remembered by her husband Don; children, Jennifer (Jamie Mollins), Margaret (Cory May) and Sean (Trish Seens); granddaughters, Caitlin and Gwendolyn; mother Mary Brookall (Mulvaney); sister Rosemary (Tony van Rosmalen); brothers, Ted (Brenda Morin) of Edmonton and Lawrence (Diane Palmer); her aunts, Ann Trudeau of Dauphin, Marie Sackmiester of Duluth; and cousins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Dianne Gannon (Plante), Patrick and Christine Gannon (Hearn), Bill and Catriona Younger (Gannon); grand-aunts, Eileen and Gertie Donnelly, Una Gallager and cousins in Ireland; her nieces and nephews, Rob, Todd (Krista), Andrea (Jim), Stephen (Trichia), Tara, Michelle (David), Marc, Connie, Jason, Kristine (Mark), Mark, Mike T, Tim, Kathleen, Mike Y, Natalie, Meghan, Jeffrey and their children. Ann Catherine had happy childhood memories of Saint Boniface, Camp Morton and Holy Cross School. While working for the City of Winnipeg, she met Don through the Saint Mary's CYO and they married on April 4, 1970. Ann Catherine and Don (with Jim, Dianne, Pat and Christine) celebrated 35 years of marriage vacationing for a month in Mexico. This followed their annual trip to Texas, and they were refreshed upon their April 6th return. Mom was planning to get her ears pierced for the pretty earrings Dad just bought for her for their anniversary. Ann Catherine retired after 23 years of dedicated service to St. John Brebeuf Parish and School. She started part time while her children attended St. John Brebeuf School. She was active in the St. John Brebeuf community, taking on many support roles and was active in the Catholic Women's League. She retired from the position of Finance Administrator and Building Manager, and will be greatly missed. She touched the lives of many, we are saddened she left us so early. She was full of life and loved the simple things: faith, family and friends. She had a tender and generous heart, and she was well known and loved for her hospitality. She had a fierce will and stood up for what she believed, qualities she encouraged in everyone she loved. She'll live on in the hearts of all she touched. Prayers and viewing 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at Saint John Brebeuf, 1707 John Brebeuf Place in River Heights with Fr. Joseph Johnson officiating. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14 at Saint John Brebeuf with Msgr Ward Jamieson officiating. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations in her name to Winnipeg Harvest. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
