JEROME (JERRY) GAUTHIER It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Gauthier at the age of 78 years with his family at his side on April 9, 2005. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Tilly Gauthier (nee Jubinville); children, Gilbert (Lorraine) Gauthier, Michele (Doug) Smith, Mona (Colin) Ward, Robert Gauthier (Melissa O'Connor); brother John (Terry) Gauthier; sister Jacqueline (Henri) Simard; grandchildren, Denys, Noele, Paul, Kal, Brett, Laneil, Milanne, Connor, Celine and Jared; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his son Guy in 1983 and his brother Jake in 1993. Jerry was a man of many talents. His strong work ethic, generosity and determination enabled him to attain financial success in life. However, his ultimate achievement was in his uncompromising belief that family came first. They meant the world to him and everything he did, he did for them. Celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Alphonusus Church, 300 Donalda Ave. with funeral mass to follow at 1:45 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry's grandchildren. A reception will follow. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Team at the Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers donations in Jerry's memory may be made to Palliative Care Program of the Health Sciences Centre, MS-7 Thorlakson Building, 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9.
