Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRACE MARGARET ISFELD Suddenly, with deep regret we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Grace on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at her residence in the Betel Home, Gimli at the age of 87 years. Grace was born on June 29, 1917, daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude Whalley, sister of the late Frank and survived by her sister Marion Parmiter of Vancouver. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Einar in 1993 after 57 years of marriage. They resided in Winnipeg Beach all their married life and raised their three children there. Grace was also predeceased by her infant son Robert. She is survived by her daughter Lillian Clavir of St. Catherines, son Raymond (Mary) and daughter Terry (Brent) Matechuk, all of Winnipeg Beach; 13 grandchildren, Pam, Rick, James, Randy, Darryl, Cheri, Tammy, Andy, Warren, Wendy, Trudy, Brenleigh and Alex; and 16 great-grandchildren. Grace was a loving and devoted wife and mother, always putting everyone else's needs before her own. Her family was most important to her. She never forgot a birthday and always had a gift or card for everyone. She loved to bake and we'll always cherish the times of visiting and having tea and dainties. Grace also loved to sew, crochet and knit. We'll cherish her afghans, warm mitts and slippers she lovingly made for us. Grace worked tirelessly alongside Einar in the fishing business and when Einar became ill she spent many years caring for her husband until his passing. Most recently Grace resided at the Betel Home in Gimli where she received compassionate and loving care from the wonderful staff there. Mom will always be remembered for her great sense of humour, her wit, her love for her family, her graceful manner and unselfish ways. We were truly blessed to have had such a wonderful mother as her and may she be at peace with our father for all of eternity. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church with Rev. Marilyn Anderson-Corkum officiating. Interment will follow in the Husavick Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
