PATRICIA (BETTY) SEMENCHUK (nee STIFORA) It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved mother and Baba on April 8, 2005 at Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg. Betty was born in Winnipeg on July 5, 1915. She spent a number of school years in Fraserwood, MB. She was an excellent baseball player. Betty met Makar Semenchuk and they were married on March 2, 1935. They had two daughters Elizabeth and Jeanette. Baba worked in the garment industry in Winnipeg for over 40 years. She rarely missed a day of work and was known for how quickly she could sew. She retired very reluctantly. Baba loved to dance and garden. She loved the ponies at Polo Park. Most of all she loved her daughters, their children and grandchildren. Shopping was her passion and she was thrilled to spend the night at Eaton's downtown during the 1966 blizzard. Betty was predeceased by her husband Makar and her brother Joe. She is survived by her daughters, Liz (Bodo) Stein, grandchildren, Mike (Margret) Stein, Patricia (Gord) Austin and Paul Stein; daughter, Jeanette (Ernie) Erickson, grandchildren, Karen (Bob) Bodnaryk, Wendy (Dave) Budge, Dan (Debbie) Erickson, Lynn (Greg) Nichol, and great-grandchildren, Orysa, Scott, Landon, Ian, Cody, Jackson, Dustin, Chyann, Regan and Morgan. A private service was held on April 12. She was buried beside her husband Makar at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Stein, Daniel Erickson, Paul James Stein and grandsons-in-law Bob Bodnaryk, Gordon Austin and David Budge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's memory to a charity of one's choice. Vichnaya Pam'Yat We Love You Baba CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
