Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZOFIA NEBESNY It is with great sadness we announce that Zofia Nebesny passed away peacefully at the CareWest Sarcee Hospice in Calgary on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at the age of 93 years. Zofia was born in Skowronnd, Poland on January 23, 1912 and immigrated to Canada in March 1962, settling in Winnipeg where she married and worked until her retirement. She had spent the majority of her years in Winnipeg, living a peaceful life and tending to her home and garden. In the summer of 2004, Zofia made the decision to move to Calgary and spend her remaining months living happily with the love and care of her stepdaughter Frances Glydon and family. Zofia was predeceased by her husband Joseph Nebesny and stepdaughter Alice Wright. She is survived by her stepdaughter Frances Glydon, son-in-law Garth, grandchildren, Krystle and Kyle (Calgary), son-in-law Robert Wright (Ontario), grandchildren, Harley and Tom Wright (Winnipeg), her brother Joseph Adamczyk, sister-in-law Stanislawa, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and their families living in Poland and in Ontario. Zofia was a loving, caring and spiritual person who will be greatly missed by her close friends in Winnipeg. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of Unit 46, RockyView Hospital (Calgary) and the CareWest Sarcee Hospice (Calgary) for allowing Zofia to spend her final days with the comfort and dignity she deserved. Prayers will be said on Friday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Cropo Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Winnipeg. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Calgary Health Trust, 10101 Southport Rd. S.W.
