Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORINNA SOKALSKI (nee ATTI) With heavy hearts, the Sokalski family announces the peaceful passing of Corinna Sokalski on Monday, April 11, 2005 at age 79 years, at the Riverview Health Centre. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Phil; sons, Bob (and wife Barbara) and Raymond (and wife Tracy) and grandsons, Rob, Jaden and Anton. Corinna will also be sadly missed by brothers-in-law, Joe Scott (and wife Betty), Stan Scott and Mike Wozny and sisters-in-law, Betty Mikulan and Bernice Barnicki; along with nieces and nephews, Gloria, Penny, Eleanor and Ted, among many others. She was predeceased by her father Attilio Atti and her mother Teresa Scaramagli Atti. Corinna was born in Granarolo, Bologna, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1948. She worked for 37 years at Jacob Crowley Mfg. Co., sewing Ladies Apparel and rose to the position of Sample Maker. Corinna was fluent in Polish, English and Ukrainian in addition to her native Italian, and took great pleasure in socializing, entertaining, gardening and sewing. A service of remembrance will be celebrated on Friday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Riverview Health Centre, after which a reception will be held in the Thomas Sill Room at Riverview Health Centre. There will be a private interment at Holy Angel Mausoleum, in Green Acres Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Riverview Health Centre or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Corinna's family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation Pat Yamada and all the staff of Riverview Health Centre's CD4-ward and all the volunteers from Our Lady of Victory Memorial Parish. It is with sadness that we learned of Corinna's passing. We hope that your Faith will carry you thru tomorrow and the days to come. She was a wonderful aunt always joyful and welcoming.
