JOHN KLOCHKO April 11, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, John Klochko, on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Dad will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his wife Stella (nee Morrison); two sons, Walter (Linda) and Ken; grandchildren, Tessa, Kyle and Taylor; brother Mike Klochko; sister Anne Wrycimaga; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. John was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Dora; and his sister Jean Wrycimaga. Dad was born in Malonton, MB. After growing up on the family farm, he continued working the homestead. Although he tried his hand at working away from home briefly at Dominion Tanners and in the Ontario mines, he returned each time to the family farm. In 1960, he married his wife Stella, and moved a mile down the road to the farm where he provided for and raised his family. Dad loved his life on the farm, his family, friends and neighbours. Dad's enjoyment in life was fixing, repairing and building and he took personal satisfaction is he could do this for others. In his retirement years, this is where he spent most of his days, unless he was gardening, helping his son on the farm, or looking after the house and our mother. No matter how busy this kept him, he was ready to drop what he was doing and prepare a meal for family and friends that came to visit. Special thanks to all the family and friends that helped Dad pass the time at the Grace Hospital in the last month and a half. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, MB, with Pastor Bruce Dewald officiating. Interment to follow at St. Stephen's Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Cemetery (Pleasant Home). Reception to follow. Honorary pallbearers, George Nickel, Peter Bobbie, Kelly Desbiens, Harry Klochko, Dennis Dziadek, Oliver Todd and Elvin Smerchanski. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.
