HELEN MARJORIE DUGARD (nee CRESSWELL) May 3, 1910 - April 11, 2005 Marge Dugard peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ after serving Him throughout her life of 94 years. Our mother lived for God and for other people. Not a day went by without Mom thanking and praising her Saviour for His goodness and reaching out to those around her with His love. Mom's favourite Bible verse was Thy Word is a Lamp to my feet and a Light to my Path - Psalm 119:105. A highlight of her day was to read and listen to His Word. Mom taught elementary school in Manitoba for over 40 years and left a mark on the lives of her students by always looking for the best in her pupils. She also loved to share her enthusiasm for Bible stories with many Sunday School students over the decades. Her time spent in the sunshine in her garden was a joy to her. It was a place where she always saw the hand of her God in His creation. Marge was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1972, by her father Charles Cresswell in 1961 and her mother Susan May (nee Bellman) in 1930, by her son Raymond Dugard (Irene) of Pine Falls and daughter Ruth Mercier (Gene) of Winnipeg. She is survived by her sister Jean of Texas, her son Bishop Jacob Barclay of Jerusalem, Israel, daughter Heather Lindsay of Winnipeg, son Mark and wife Sharon of Beausejour, MB and their sons Aaron and Nathan, son Daniel and wife Susan of Paris, ON and their children Ashleigh Billing (Scott) and their son Wyatt and by Sarah, Joshua, Josiah, Jesse and Luke Dugard, all of Paris, ON, as well as Kim Unrau (Ben) and their sons, Ryan, Devon and Braden, Brian Mercier (Carol) and their son Richard of Montreal, Cheryl, Grant and Jeff Dugard of Pine Falls, MB. Our family will be forever grateful for the excellent care Mother received over the years. The loving hands of the staff of the Beausejour Hospital and East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home will not be forgotten. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. also from St. Mary with Fr. Rob McDougall presiding. Interment will follow in the Dugard family plot at the Beausejour Cemetery.
