REUBEN EDWARD HARRIS Ben May 19, 1933 - April 3, 2005 Peacefully, surrounded by pictures and tokens of those he loved and those who loved him, Ben took one last breath of life and began his next journey. In his previous journey, Ben served in both the Army and the Air Force; after leaving the Armed Forces, he worked for the City of Grand Forks for 15 years as an airport maintenance worker. He was a member of both the Masons' and the Shriners' movements. He had recently achieved his 33rd degree in the Masons and on the day he passed away was informed that he had been awarded the title of Honorary Past Grand Master. Ben had many passions, he loved family gatherings, volunteering, fishing, cooking, watching television, driving his Cadillac, eating...he enjoyed life to its fullest. Left to cherish his memory are loving daughters, Bevona (Douglas), Berrina (Real), Belinda; grandchildren, Lucinda, Eriq, Blaque, Luvona, Zara, Zayla; good friends, Doug, Wash (Vicki), Dave (Inge); nieces, Thayla, Erica; nephews, Eldred, David; brother-in-law Eldred Sr.; and countless other friends and family. A celebration of Ben's life will take place at Amundson's Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND on Saturday, April 16 at 2:00 p.m.
