ZITA ELENA WARNE Peacefully, with family by her side, Mom passed away on April 12, 2005. Left to cherish her memory are son Rick (Wendy); grandchildren, Levi and Danika; and daughter Randi (Steve). Mom was predeceased by our father Harold Warne, May 20, 1984. Mom was born in Winnipeg, August 13, 1926. She grew up in the North End and had many wonderful anecdotes and great memories of that special time and place. Mom was especially proud of her work as an administrative secretary. She always valued hard work, perseverance and doing the right thing. Mom was loving and caring and became a second mom to many younger friends. Mom loved her summers at Albert Beach. The clean air always seemed to rejuvenate her. Mom will be remembered as a good friend, always there in time of need to offer advice or merely to listen. Mom always enjoyed a good laugh. In accordance with Mom's wishes there will be no service. Please remember Mom by the song Jesus Bids us Shine. Our thanks go out to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Geriatric Ward 4-E, who were caring and compassionate and provided Mom with some much needed humour in her last couple of weeks. Mom you are indeed very beautiful. Jesus bids us shine With a pure, clear light, Like a little candle Burning in the night. In this world of darkness So let us shine You in your small corner, And I in mine. Mom had a great love of animals, therefore we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society.
