DONALD O. TAYLOR It is with much sadness that the family of Donald Ormrod Taylor announce his passing on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Saskatoon University Hospital. Don leaves his three children, Lynda Taylor (Chris Novak), Tom D. Taylor (Julie), both of Winnipeg and Maureen (Dave) Bailey, of Minnedosa. He was predeceased by their mother Ollie Taylor in May 2004. He also leaves his seven grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy S. Davidson of Vancouver, BC. Born in Winnipeg on March 17, 1920, son of Thomas Taylor and May Sutherland. He received his education in Winnipeg graduating from Kelvin High School. He spent time working in a stock brokers' office, and the City of Winnipeg accounting department, before he joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941. He was discharged in September 1945, at which time he joined the wholesale coal business in Winnipeg. Following a transfer to Saskatoon in 1949 and to Vancouver in 1953. In 1958, he became employed by Benjamin Moore paints as a salesman in British Columbia and in 1963 with family in tow moved back to Saskatoon where he had resided since. After a 28 year career with Benjamin Moore, receiving many top sales awards, he retired in 1986. He was a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association, The Council For Canada and the Saskatoon K-40 Club. Don loved to travel, Las Vegas being his favourite destination. He had a keen interest in American politics, baseball, swing music and was an avid reader all his life. Cremation has taken place with private memorial service at a later date.
