Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONIUS (TONY) KOWALSKI Peacefully on April 14,2005 at the Gimli Community Health Center, Tony Kowalski, aged 93 years, of Gimli, Mb. Tony leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 64 years, Gertie; two daughters, Cecilia (Anthony) Eiers of Winnipeg and Florence (Ron) Franz of Gimli; grandchildren, Elaine (Blair), Edward, Kevin, Sheryl, Jeffrey, and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Graem, Kelsey and Brayden; a sister Mary Matheson of Vancouver and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Aloiza; a daughter Antonette; brothers, Paul, Joe and Steve and a sister Adeline. Tony was born in Gimli on January 17,1912 and had lived all his life there. In his earlier years he was a fisherman on Lake Winnipeg, later worked at the Gimli Airbase as a boilerman, and at the same time had farmed for most of his life. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday April 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli with Fr. Ernest Kamath and Deacon Ray Sutton officiating. Viewing at the church starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. His pallbeareres will be, Edward, Kevin and Jeff Franz, Blair, Edel, Bert Luprypa, Richard Kowalski. Thanks to Dr. Montoedi, the staff at Betel Home and especially to Sister Cathy for all her many visits and compassion. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
