ARNOLD BESYK December 23, 1950 - April 15, 2005 Surrounded by his family and friends, Arnold Besyk, our beloved brother, uncle and great-uncle passed away on April 15, 2005 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Jennie; his brother Thomas and two brothers-in-law, Mike Kulbaba and Mike Halischuk. He is survived by six sisters, Frances Kulbaba, Helen Besyk, Joan (Art) Gooley, Bernice Gooley (Halischuk), all of Selkirk, Joyce (Wally) Scribny of Winnipeg Beach and Jackie (Wayne) Dola of St. Andrews; two brothers, Bert (Faye) of Dryden, ON and Ryan (Bernice) of Winnipeg Beach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Arnold was born in Gimli on December 23, 1950 and spent several years working as a flooring installer for Bill Knight Flooring and his past 20 years for the Town of Winnipeg Beach. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Chorney officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach. Pallbearers are Brent Dola, Trevor Samagalski, Brendan Besyk, Barry Sadlowski, Ken Warcimaga. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews. Special thank you is extended to Dr. Fuchs and all the nursing staff, Dialysis Unit at the Selkirk General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Arnold may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 730 Taylor Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
