Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN HELENA WACHAL (nee OSTROWSKI) November 9, 1915 - April 17, 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our precious Lillian. With her family at her side, she left us to join her late husband Walter, son Lawrence (Cathy) and granddaughter Tara in heaven. She will be forever cherished by her son Bruce (Ann), children, Shannon (Mike), Jason, son-in-law Mike, grandchildren, Bradley Wachal (Sheila), Maureen MacIntosh (Mike), Lisa Rowe (Trevor) and their mother Sharon; great-grandchildren, Krystin, Jory, Breeann, Brennen, Dakota; doting nephew Gregory and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Lillian grew up in Winnipeg and was the second child of four to Peter and Helen. She married Walter in 1941, and together they built wonderful memories for her family. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they adored her. Lillian was a long time member of C.P.A.C. Lil was one who showed unconditional friendship and love to all she knew. She spoke kind words of everyone and loved sharing stories from the olden days , telling of friends and family. She always said cooking was not one of her favourite things to do, but she loved cooking for her family for special gatherings and continued to have Christmas dinners until recently. She was a talented seamstress, making it her career sewing draperies at Eaton's Drapery until that department closed, then continued at Sears Drapery until she retired in 1987. She was still keeping busy by sewing curtains for her grandchildren up to the age of 88. She loved sharing time with her various pets over the years and will be missed by her cat Sully. Pallbearers will be, grandson Jason Wachal, great-grandsons, Jory Rowe, Brennen Wachal, nephews, Gregory Chesin, Ken and Gary Wachal. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Manitoba Division, 400-141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, R3B 0R3. To love a Grandma and then to part, Is the greatest trial to the human heart. Years of striving, little of play, Loving, giving, the whole of the way. A cherished smile, a heart of gold, To the dearest Grandma the world could hold. Happy memories, fond and true, From us who thought the world of you. Beautiful memories are treasured ever, Of happy days when we were together. With aching hearts we whisper low, God Bless you Grandma, we'll miss you so. Father in Heaven hear our prayer, Guard our Grandma with tender care. Be a good Shepherd, don't leave her alone, Love her as we loved her when she was here at home. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
