SANDRA LEONE LUKASIEWICZ (nee DOUGLAS) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, Sandy Lukasiewicz, on April 17, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1953 in Winnipeg, where she resided her whole life. Sandy is survived by her loving and devoted husband Edward Lukasiewicz; beloved children, James and Catherine; sister Christine (Wayne) Penhall; brother-in-law Ted (Lucy) Lukasiewicz; nieces, Jennifer, Jessica and Sandra; father-in-law John Lukasiewicz; mother Marge Douglas. She was predeceased by her father George Douglas and mother-in-law Rose Lukasiewicz. Sandy touched the lives of people wherever she went. She was always willing to lend a kindhearted ear or offer a thoughtful piece of advice. Sandy took great pride in her family and she will always be remembered for her endless love, strength, caring, compassion, courage and sense of humour. Her great love of music provided her with many hours of enjoyment. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the ambulance crew and the police whose kindness meant so much to the family. We also deeply thank all the staff in the Emergency Department at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In honour of Sandy's memory, the family gratefully declines flowers and asks that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. May the wind of love blow gently,, And whisper so that you can hear, We will always love and miss you, And wish that you were here. We hold you close within our hearts, And there you shall remain, To walk with us throughout our lives, Until we meet again. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
