He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile (nee Verrier); his five children, Gisele (Roland) Laurin, Larry (Marshia), Doris (Andre) Huyghe, Colette (Brian) Desorcy, and Lyn (Paul) Arbez. He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren, Marc (Shauna), Garry (Jennifer), Joanne, Dean, Ron (Jen), Michelle (Shawn), Garry, Colleen (Ben), Christine, Nerissa (Curtis), Nicole, Kevin, Philip (Courtney), Leanne and seven precious great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother Maurice (Thelma); sisters, Therese (Leo) Alarie, Celine Rheault; special niece Claudette (Joe) Lemoine as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Henri and Augustine; brothers, Alphonse, Joseph, Lucien, Jean, Marius and Edmond; sisters, Adrienne and Annette. Dad was born and raised in Fannystelle. He had a passion for horses and always spoke fondly of his days on the farm. He enjoyed watching wrestling and playing cards, especially cribbage with his grandchildren. He was the best pepere and they will always remember his favourite saying: Eh, Suzy . He was such a kind and caring dad and always was willing to lend a helping hand. In his retirement he enjoyed several trips, breakfast out was a weekly treat and he felt obliged to support his local carwash. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd., on Friday, April 22 with Fr. Leo Couture presiding. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care nurses as well as the homecare providers for their kindness and support. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 (telephone number 949-2000).
