GERALD PIPPUS May 18, 1945 - April 21, 2005 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Gerald (Jer) Phillip Pippus passed away peacefully with his wife Michelle by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Michelle of 37 years; and sons, Shawn (Sandra), Troy (Cheryl); a daughter Jeri-Lynn (Sean); and a grandson Scott who was very special to Jerry; his grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, Carissa, Brittany, Chanelle; special friends, Les and Darlene; his mother Elsie; brothers, Brian (Deanna), Les, Darren (Lynn); sisters, Darlene, Elaine (Jeff); in-laws, Bob, Jackie and Ted; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry was employed with Burns Meats for 35 years where he made many friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Johnson, the CancerCare nurses and a very special thank you to Erin for all her care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Multiple Myeloma, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
