IDA P. WEISS (nee MAYER) February 27, 1917 - April 20, 2005 Peacefully, on April 20, 2005 at the Grace Hospital Ida passed away at the age of 88. Ida was predeceased by her husband Bill in June 2003. Left to her cherish her memory is her daughter Melita Tonogai; son Cliff (Patricia) Weiss-Bundy; granddaughters, Krysta (Neale) and Karyn (Stuart). Ida will also be missed by her surviving sisters, Mona and Glorianna; brothers, Lewis and Ed; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ida was born in Hastings, MN and moved to Winnipeg where she spent the rest of her life. Mom enjoyed golfing and gardening in the summer and yearly trips to Arizona. Ida was a kind and gentle woman who always put her family first. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Oscar Domke and the staff at the Grace Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Hospice Centre, in care of Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will take place on Monday, April 25, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips St., with reception to follow.
