VELMA MARGARET BEYETTE Mrs. Velma Beyette, aged 87 years, of Dauphin, MB dearly beloved wife, of 60 years, of Garnet Beyette passed away peacefully on April 16, 2005 at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB. She is survived by her husband Garnet; son James (Christine) of Beausejour; and daughter Bonnie Gowler of Calgary; grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Voss, David Beyette, Alysia Gowler and Pamela Beyette; great-grandchildren, Saundra and Clarissa Voss; brother-in-law Lloyd Beyette; sisters-in-law, Marion Rinn and Irene (Michael) Baron; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son-in-law Bruce Gowler; brother Angus (Bud) Rinn; sister Alice Kukura; and parents, William and Annie Rinn. Velma was born and raised in Angusville, MB the eldest child of William and Annie Rinn. She attended Normal School in Winnipeg, graduating in 1938. She taught in several schools in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario. In 1956, the family moved from the Dauphin area to Dryden, ON. They resided there for 31 years before returning to Dauphin. After retiring from teaching, she enjoyed motorhoming throughout Canada and United States, quilting, birding and gardening. The family would like to thank the staff of Dauphin Personal Care Home for the many years of excellent care given to mother and to the staff of East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home where she resided for the last two weeks. Memorial service was held on Thursday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Evergreen Chapel, Dauphin with Pastor Roland Rendell officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
