Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCALOGERA (LULLA) ACQUISTO April 29, 1944 - April 21, 2005 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother Lulla on April 21, 2005. Lulla is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Vincenzo; daughters, Rosanna (Frank) Guzzi and Josie; son Michael and his special friend Crystal. Lulla was a devoted nonna to Alessia and Michael Guzzi. She leaves to mourn her brother Vincenzo; sisters, Vincenza and Rosa and their families of Casteltermini, Sicily. Lulla was predeceased by her parents and her brother Paolo in Sicily. Lulla was born on April 29, 1944 in Casteltermini, Sicily. She arrived in Winnipeg in June 1965 to join her husband Vincenzo. Upon arrival, she was united with family and formed many strong relationships that have grown and still hold strong today. It was Lulla's strength and warmth which drew people to enjoy her company (and homemade Sicilian pastries). Even though Lulla endured many health challenges, she maintained strength, courage and faith that inspired the lives of others. Prayers will be held on Sunday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Michael, Robert, Frank, Jerry Acquisto, Tony Catanese and Ben Ferraro. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mario Fiorentino and Tomasso Ferraro. The family wishes to thank all medical staff that attended to her. We wish to express our gratitude for the long term care provided by the liver unit at GA1 pink desk, especially Dr. Minuk, Dr. Renner, Rose and Vicki. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lulla's memory to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Manitoba Chapter. Resterai Sempre Nei Nostri Cuori. Riposa In Pace. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
