HENRY ANDREW OSTOP November 1, 1912 - April 21, 2005 Peacefully on Thursday, April 21, Henry passed away at home where he loved to be. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne; daughters, Mary Osborn and Carol (John) Haigh; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Heather; grandchildren, Darrin (Gerri) Osborn, Debbie (Ron) Bergen, Pamela Ostop, Andrew Ostop and Ian Haigh; great-grandchildren, Blake and Justine Bergen and Haley Osborn; sister, Rose Ostopovich; brothers-in-law, Bill (Sadie) Crockatt, Hugh (Nancy) Crockatt; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Crockatt and Eileen Crockatt; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by by his parents; his mother in 1920 and his father in 1924; sisters, Wanda in 1926 and Marie in 1990. Henry was born in Winnipeg in 1912. Henry and Anne were married in 1945, and in June they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary. Henry worked 38 years in the bus industry, 1939 to 1952 with Western Flyer, - 1952 to 1960 with Winnipeg Transit and in 1960 he started with Motor Coach Industries and retired from there in 1977. During retirement years Henry enjoyed trips to Arizona, Texas, Florida, Bahamas and across Canada from coast to coast. In later years Henry was content to be at home with his family (working at his desk on his winning lotto numbers.) The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving care given to Henry by the Palliative Care Nurse, Ann, Dr. S. Thomas and home care workers, Judy, Joan and Carol. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Monday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
