KENNETH LAWRENCE SMITH After a lengthy illness, on Saturday, April 22, 2005, with his wife by his side, Ken Smith passed at the age of 73 years. Besides his beloved and dedicated wife Margaret, he will be lovingly remembered by his son Kevin (Donna Friesen), and daughter Debra Smith, his foster brother Charlie (Grace) Anderson, his brothers-in-law Keith (Colleen), Herbert (Adrien) and Jim (Lynne) Ryan and their families. Ken was born in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan in 1931. He and Charlie came to Winnipeg to join the C.N.R. where he was employed as a machinist for 37 years. Her married Margaret September of 1961. They later welcomed Kevin in 1966 and Debra in 1968. Ken and his family spent many happy years summering at Falcon Lake with the Miller family. He and Margaret loved being Snowbirds , travelling to Texas. According to Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment has been held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ken to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. The family would like to thank the Staff of Riverview Health Centre, Unit #2 East, and the St. Boniface General Hospital, and long time family physician Dr. J.
