ALBERT (AB) BRUCE 1932 - 2005 Dad passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 73. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Berthe; his sister Betty; and his brothers, Andy and Chuck. Sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by his family, loving wife of 50 years, Earlene; sons, Jeff (Susan), Jack; daughters, Marla (Peter), Lesley (Kevin McCombs); grandchildren, Allyson and Ashley Bruce, Christopher Bruce, Brad, Kyle and Paige McCombs. Ab was born, raised and lived most of his life in Charleswood. He loved being with all of his family, with whom he spent many hours helping them all; with many projects from building new family homes, remodelling existing ones, to designing and building heirlooms for his children and grandchildren. He was active in hockey, curling and baseball, being inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004, an achievement he was very proud of, as were we all. Ab loved to spend time with his friends, planning the all important, next round of golf, a sport he enjoyed with a passion the last 35 years of his life. Dad, you will always be remembered for your wonderful smile and that spontaneous, jovial sense of humour you always had. We Love You! A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with a reception to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, the staff at the Dialysis Centre, and the Home Care nurse for their care and dedication to Ab over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Cerebral Palsy Association, or the Cancer Foundation with great appreciation. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
