MARION IRENE CHRISTIE (ROBINSON)
Date of Passing: Apr 23, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION IRENE CHRISTIE (nee ROBINSON) It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Irene Christie on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Deer Lodge Centre, peacefully in her sleep, after a two month hospital battle with Lupus. Marion will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 46 years, William (Bud); their sons, Duncan (Michelle) and Brett (Denise); and grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Maddison and many relatives and friends. Marion will be remembered for her kind heart and selfless love of her family. She had a way of making even the simplest of dinners a special occasion that was always enjoyed. Marion loved to be outdoors in her garden or golfing at Breezy Bend and enjoyed time with her grandchildren more than anything. It was a joy to watch her face light up when they were around her. She understood that life's riches were in family and friends and not material things. To those fortunate to have known her, Marion had strong values and a very clear sense of right and wrong. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. We love you Marion, Mom... Grandma and are blessed for having had you share your life with us. God Bless You and Keep You! In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Marion Christie to Lupus Canada to help find a cure for this little understood disease. Lupus Canada, 590 Alden Rd, Suite 211, Markham, ON L3R 8N2. In keeping with Marion's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m. with interment and reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca

So shocked to hear the sad news - I had no idea that Marion was even ill. She was one of the best friends I ever had and we go back to our high school days. It will leave a void in my life knowing that she is not there anymore. - Posted by: Dorothy Ward (Friend) on: Apr 25, 2005
