Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZENOWIY (ZENY) HRYHORIY NYKOLYSHYN It is with deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of Zenowiy (Zeny) Hryhoriy Nykolyshyn on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 69. Zeny will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lucy; daughter Lydia (Rudiger Hedrich); sons, Vadim (Lisa), Anatole (Jaime), Sean; and grandchildren, Mykola, Sasha, Vladymir and Kalyna; Aunt Stella; brothers and sisters-in-law, Myron and Olga Shatulsky, Victor and Mary Semanowich and family. Zeny will be sadly missed by friends across Canada, the United States and Ukraine. Zeny was born on August 21, 1935 in Toronto, ON to Dmytro and Paraska Nykolyshyn. He was a social worker and longtime political activist who dedicated much of his life to the attainment of social equity and justice. He was a lifetime member and National President of the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians. He was also a long standing member and president of the Workers Benevolent Association. Throughout his active life, Zeny's family was always dearest to his heart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Taras Babick, physician and friend, and the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. The memorial service will take place at the Ukrainian Labour Temple, 591 Pritchard Ave. on Thursday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ukrainian Labour Temple Foundation, the Ukrainian Canadian Herald Publication or a charity of choice.
