ETHEL AMELIA DAHLE It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ethel Amelia Dahle, formerly of Snow Lake, MB on Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Betel Nursing Home in Gimli, MB. Ethel was born to Emma and Thomas Long on May 26, 1920 in Regina, SK, the eldest of four daughters. Mom met and married Hanley Dahle in Regina and moved to Flin Flon then to Snow Lake in 1947. Ethel was a lifetime member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and an active member of the Lutheran church in Snow Lake. Mom enjoyed many hours tending her garden, and the weekly meeting of the Stitch Club . After moving to Gimli in 1994, Mom was a volunteer at Betel Nursing home while her health permitted. Mom also enjoyed attending the local Lutheran Church, and playing cards and visiting with the residents at New Haven Lodge. Her husband Hanley Johan predeceased Ethel in 1993. Ethel is survived by her three sons, Tom and Athalie of Cobourg, ON, Terence of Cornwall, ON, Ken and Cathy of Rocky Mountain House, AB; and her three daughters, Janice and Doug Harrower of Gimli, Ruth and Gordon Albertson of Brandon, MB and Donna and Garry Hiebert from Winnipeg. Her beloved grandchildren, Micheal and wife Rebecca, Collin, Lisa, Roy, Eric, Kate, Jill and Carl. Also one great-grandchild Ryan Thomas Dahle. Two sisters, Gladys and Winnie and numerous friends survive Ethel. Our grateful appreciation is extended to the staff at the Betel Home in Gimli. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli with pastor Trudy Thorarinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
