CHRISTINA MARGARET BETTINSON (nee PARKER) May 18, 1926 - April 22, 2005 On April 22nd, Chris Bettinson - widow of Gerry, mother of Donna and Janet (Dan Blanchard); grandmother to Adam and Danielle (Nelson Fuentes); great-grandmother to Santiago; aunt to Lynne Kobold-Palser (Roger Palser); and companion to her Sheltie, Nessa, peacefully slipped away from us to dance with Gerry again. Chris left us the way she lived, her family by her side, quickly and quietly, with laughter and light and no regrets four weeks after meeting the new love of her life her little great-grandson, Santiago, in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Chris was an accomplished Artist (have recently sold some of her work), a member of the International Red Hatters, a volunteer at Riverview Care Home and her perfect dog, Nessa, the Internet Granny to her family and an intrepid traveller. Chris' love of fun and her zest for life is best described in her quote I don't want to miss anything! A graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. on Thursday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m., all are welcome. A celebration of her life will follow at Chris and Gerry's home for friends and family at 4:00 p.m. Bring your red hat!
