Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD REUTHER February 21, 1954 - April 24, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of (Rick) Richard Reuther on Sunday, April 24, 2005 with his wife and family by his side. Rick passed at the age of 51 years. He leaves his beloved and dedicated wife Chris and he will be lovingly remembered by sons, Dwayne (Trish) and Brian; adopted sister Sheri (Brent, Niah); mother Carolyn (Archie). Rick was predeceased by his grandparents, Ernest and Marjorie Reuther; father-in-law Joseph Antonishyn; and twin grandsons, Zachary and Maxwell Reuther. Rick received his education at Weston School and Tec-Voc High School. He then met Chris and married on December 14, 1974. They later welcomed Dwayne in 1975 and Brian in 1979. As a young boy, Rick spent his summers at Deception Lake and continued with his own family. They spent many happy years at the cottage. Rick had a true love for the lake. He could always be found at the burner or out on the lake. He was always there to help a neighbour. Rick's greatest love was his family, he was so proud that his sons had become such successful young men. He was always there to help repair a vehicle or give long distance advise to his boys. Rick always took care of his family's needs, he was a true and caring provider. In the 30 years of marriage, Rick was always there with a bouquet of flowers for every occasion. A loving and caring husband he was. Rick also enjoyed his little companion, Sandy, the family pet. Rick was employed at Direct Transport for 15 years. Rick will be remembered for his energy, love of life, humour, kindness and unique way he cherished relationships with all those in life. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
