HENRI MARC REMI NORBERT BRUNET 1918 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henri Brunet on April 25, 2005 at the age of 87 at Foyer Valade in St. Boniface. Henri was predeceased by his wife Jeanne d'Arc Brunet (de Moissac); his parents, Godias Brunet and Alice Jutras; his sisters, Cecile, Marguerite and Alice; his brother Denys and his brother-in-law Lorenzo Girouard. He is survived by his brothers, Pierre (Aline) and Paul (Marie-Therese); his sisters, Marthe, Jeanne and Berthe; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Marc (Daisy), Raymond (Paulette), Roger (Dawn), Jocelyne Handford (Russell); his grandchildren, Daniel (Michelle), David (Lisa), Rhea, Jude, Jesse, Stephanie, Ryan, Janessa and Simone; his great-grandchildren, Nicole, Chantal, Melanie and Zora. Henri was born and raised in St. Boniface where he spent his entire life and raised his family. In 1947 Henri started his career by working in the advertisement department for the Winnipeg Free Press. He then moved on to work for Air Canada in an administrative capacity and later was successful in competing for the position of an Avionic Mechanic. He worked for Air Canada for the following 33 years and enjoyed travelling with his children and parents to Europe and North America. Henri lovingly supported his children in the formative years by volunteering with various community organizations. In his retirement years he volunteered as President of the Air Canada Art Association, President of the Heather Senior's Curling Club. Funeral services - 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 28, at the Holy Family (Eglise Sainte-Famille), 774 Archibald St. in St. Boniface.
