Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROGER JOSEPH RECTOR Roger Rector, beloved son of Mary Rektor of Knights of Columbus Manor, Winnipeg and beloved husband of Roberta of Wizard Lake, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 65 years at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton on Sunday, April 10, 2005 following a hard-fought battle against cancer. Roger was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB where he attended St. Paul's School. He graduated from the U. of M. with a Masters of Science in Geology and moved to Edmonton in 1964 where he joined Chevron. Roger received a Ph.D in Geology from McMaster University in Hamilton as well as a diploma in Management from MIT in Boston. From 1970-1995 he worked for Gulf Canada Resources in Calgary as VP of Exploration, Corporate Acquisition, Marketing, and International Development and Exploration. Besides his mother Mary and wife Bobbi, Roger is survived by his children, Theresa, Kevin, and Lori and their children; brothers, Edward and Brian Rector; aunts, Vera Derenchuk and Anne Sopuck; uncle Jerry Sopuck; and many cousins and their families in Winnipeg, Indiana, Saskatoon and Victoria, Valdimir and Lisa Derenchuk; Joyce Queck; Tim and Robert Sopuck; Valdimir, Paul and Lennart Sopuck. A memorial service will be held at St. Emile Church Chapel, 556 St. Anne's Road, St. Vital on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 4:30 p.m.
