JACOB L. KROEKER 1920 - 2005 Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jacob Kroeker, passed away peacefully in his home, April 26, 2005 at the age of 85. Dad was predeceased by his parents Jacob B. and Helena Kroeker; and son Peter in infancy. He is survived by his wife Elisabeth; nine children, Rosalind (Irvin Dueck), Laura (Al Friesen), Dennis (Janice), Erma, Dave (Agnes), Elda (John Enns), Ray (Louella), Clarice (Roger Plett), Vern (Anne); 27 grandchildren, their families and foster son Kevin. Dad was born February 15, 1920 in Morris, MB. He married Mom on December 6, 1942. Dad and Mom began farming in Rosenort and moved to Riverton as pioneers in 1952. They spent their last five years in Steinbach. Dad loved spending time with family and friends. We will miss his prayer support and encouragement to keep following Christ. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Saturday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main St, Steinbach on Sunday, May 1 at 2:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Canadian LifeLight Ministries, Box 4904, Steinbach, MB R5G 1R5.
