Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ANNE BOUTET (nee STOVALD) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara Anne Boutet, on April 25, 2005 at the Emerson Personal Care Home. Mom left us on the wings of an angel to be with Dad. Barb was born March 5, 1917 in Guildford, Surrey, England, the eldest daughter of Walter and Daisy Stovald, and grew up there with her brother Tom and sister June. She met and married Charles Boutet on November 11, 1944. She was one of the War Brides , who arrived in Canada in 1946. They raised a family of five in Arnaud before moving to Dominion City in 1956. Mom will be lovingly remembered for her kind and selfless love of her family. It was a joy to watch her face light up when they were around her. Family times were special. To those fortunate to have known her, Mom had strong values and a wonderful sense of humour. Mom was a helpful community person, a member of the U.C.W. and Legion Ladies Auxiliary (50 years), and a lifetime member of the Dominion City Curling Club. She was a custodian at Roseau Valley School for many years. She loved gardening, especially her flowers, old time music and dancing, and going to bingo. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barry (Dorothy) Boutet, Shirley (Bev) Berrington, Mel (Louise) Boutet, Diane (Jerry) Funk, and David (Sandra) Boutet; her grandchildren, Sherry (Jeff) Johnston, Darcy Berrington, Melanie (Jerry) Bernas, Damon (Debbie) Berrington, Tim Boutet, Deidre (James) Giesbrecht, Carey Boutet, Kevin Boutet, and Kayla Boutet; nine great-grandchildren, Devin, Jesse, Jazlyn, Landon, Dawson, Stacey, Angela, Silas, and Judah. Also surviving are her sister June (Fred) Jenner and sons Phillip and Martin, and brother Tom Stovald and children Paul and Susan. A big thank you to the Emerson Personal Care Home for taking good care of Mom, and making her last days comfortable. Thank you also to the nurses and staff of the Morris General Hospital. A celebration of Barb's life will be held at the Dominion City United Church on Friday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Bob and Myrna Stark officiating. If friends so desire, donations in Barb's memory may be made to either the Roseau Crossing Heritage Park, or Sturgeon Community Foundation, in care of Box 201, Dominion City, MB, R0A 0H0. I was so sorry to hear about Aunty Barb's passing. When I think of her the word spunk comes to my mind. I loved listening to her beautiful voice and seeing her lovely smile. She was always so welcoming and interested in whatever you had to say... to the family, I wish you comfort and offer you my thoughts and prayers. I keep envisioning the rowdy reunion she has now joined. What a wonderful reward for a long and happy life! much love, Laurel - Posted by: Laurel Boutet (Family) on: Apr 28, 2005
