DOROTHY MELROSE FOTHERINGHAM (nee MILLER) May 6, 1925- April 25, 2005 Peacefully on April 25, 2005, with her family at her side, Mom passed away at Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by her husband Al of 50 years, on October 25, 1997; parents, John and Bella Miller; sisters, Delle Miller, Edythe Burnett, Jiggs Craig; brothers-in-law, John Thornton and Bill Craig. Lovingly remembered by Donna (Cyril) Creyke of Portage and their children, Carrie (Bill) Blanchard, great-grandson Garon and Kim Creyke; Grant (Meredith) Fotheringham of Portage and their children, Doug and friend Carman, Lisa (Danny) Dyck, Seth and Zachary of Morden; Gail (Rick) Batters of Morden and their children, Brant and Shay, and Marna (Kim) Laurans of Winnipeg and their children Riley and Taylor. Also left to mourn is sister Mabel Thornton of Portage; brothers, Jack (Edna) Miller and Art Miller of Oakville; brother-in-law Jack (Chris) Burnett of Portage; sister-in-law Marg Ward of Portage and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mom's wishes a private family service will be held at Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a gathering to remember Mom at 510-5th St. N.W., Portage la Prairie at 3:30 p.m. on April 30. In lieu of flowers as expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to MS Society of Canada, Central Plains Chapter, 302 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8; Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or a charity of one's choice. Goodbye my family, my life has passed. I loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take. Love for each other, for my sake.
