JUNE BJORNSON (nee VALENTINE) Peacefully, with her family at her side, June Bjornson passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Grace General Hospital, at the age of 71 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Karvel; daughter and son-in-law, Rae and Graeme MacIver; as well as the lights of her life, her granddaughters, Tara and Caitriona. She will also be sadly missed by family and friends from all around the world. June was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and David; and sister Norma. Born June 6, 1933 in Dundee, Scotland, June was always proud of her Scottish heritage. She immigrated to Winnipeg as a young woman and built her family. Her great joy in life was her granddaughters. A celebration of June's life will be held on Monday, May 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. at Mount Royal Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in June's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
