ANNA JANE CUMBERLAND September 27, 1929 - April 28, 2005 Peacefully on April 28, 2005, with her family at her side, at the Gimli Community Health Centre, Anna Cumberland, aged 75 years, of Riverton, MB, went into eternal rest. Anna leaves to cherish her memory son Alex (Louise), son Gene, daughter Marie (Steven), son Tim (Marcie), son Todd, daughter Kim (Todd); grandchildren, Penny (Michael), Jenny, Carolyn, Victoria (Brian), Joey (Laurie), Jamie, Hailee, Averee, their mother Joanne, Sara, MacKenzie, Justin, Jordan and Todd; great-grandchildren, Cara, Shaun, Kyle, James, Corey, Brianne, Brittney, Melissa; sisters, Pat Palson, Carrie Jacobson; brother Russell Collins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Anna was predeceased by parents Adam and Jane Collins; husband Victor Hurdell; son Bruce Cumberland; stepson Jack Hurdell; sister Margaret Gibeault; brothers, Henry Collins, Fred Omen. Mom was born September 27, 1929, in Big Bull Head. Mom moved to Pine Dock and resided in Riverton until the time of her death. Mom loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and spending time with them, baking and gardening. She was always cooking and telling stories of days gone by or joking around and laughing with them. We will all miss her fried bread, stew and dumplings and her excellent turkey and dressing. Mom's best friend, Emily Sigurdson, with whom she played bingo (her favourite hobby) and went on many outings with, was a great joy to her. Special thanks to Dr. S. V. Patel and the staff for their excellent care and compassion and for all the support from family, relatives and friends to mom and the family. Mom, we love you with all our hearts Rest in peace Funeral service will be held at the Riverton - Hnausa Lutheran Church on Tuesday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Trudy Thorarinson will officiate. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Service in care of arrangements.
